My work (as is often the case in web & software development) requires I build upon the backs of (incredibly nice) giants.
Organizations such as the Apache Foundation, Linux Foundation, the Open Source Initiative, even Microsoft all provide excellent code and software free to use.
I also believe in maintaining the human habitat, Earth. As all other problems are superseded by the idea that we won't have a vessel for those problems to even exist upon.
Lastly, the RNLI saved me from being swept out to sea when bodyboarding as a kid. Big thanks to them as I might not be here without their lifeguards!
To this end, I pledge to donate 5% of my profits to lifesaving, open source and ecological organizations.
You can rest happy knowing that if you work with me, you are (by proxy) helping the planet, saving lives and supporting open source scenes in a small way.
